ENG vs NZ, 3rd Test Pitch Report:
The last two Tests at this ground have witnessed comparatively lower scores by the teams as compared to the other venues. The teams batting first would look to post totals above 300 runs to have chances of winning the game. The pacers have been the key wicket-taking option at this venue.

Australia and England will battle it out against each other in the second Ashes Test on Thursday, December 16. Pat Cummins made his captaincy debut in his own distinct style by dominating the proceedings in the first Test match. The hosts displayed an all-around effort to take a 1-0 lead in the Ashes.
They outplayed the visitors on the very first day before securing victory midway through the fourth day. Cummins registered his five-wicket haul in England’s first innings as the visitors were wrapped up at just 147 runs. Australia’s Travis Head who was selected ahead of Usman Khawaja, scored an impressive century to exude his class.
David Warner also displayed his flair by taking command of the game but fell just six runs short of his century. In England’s second innings Nathan Lyon secured four wickets to reach the incredible feat of 400 Test wickets. The second Test which is scheduled to be played under the floodlights might challenge the batters.
James Anderson and Stuart Broad weren’t a part of the setup for the first Test however they are likely to make the cut for the Adelaide Test. Josh Hazlewood who is suffering from a side strain will miss the game as Jhye Richardson has been named as his replacement.

Australia vs England Test Series - Ashes 2nd Test Match, Predicted Playing XIs & Stats Preview
Sports video | 32587 views
England and New Zealand are set to cross swords in the first semi-final of the ongoing T20 World Cup 2021 on Wednesday, November 10 at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi. The Brits, led by Eoin Morgan, finished the Super 12 at the top of the points table in Group 1 with a net run rate of 2.464.
But they will be going into the game on the back of a 10-run loss at the hands of South Africa in Sharjah. The Black Caps, on the other hand, are on a four-match winning streak. The Kane Williamson-led unit started with a loss to Pakistan, but managed to make a stupendous comeback since then.
Jos Buttler has been in incredible form in the ongoing edition of the T20 World Cup. He has arguably been the standout batter for the Three Lions in the tournament. In five matches, the right-hander has notched 240 runs at an average of 120 and a strike rate of 155.84. If Buttler gets going, the Black Caps’ bowlers would be in for a lot of trouble in the tournament.
Adil Rashid has bowled brilliantly for England in the T20 World Cup. The leg-spinner has picked up eight wickets from five matches and is the leading wicket-taker for his team in the mega event. The tweaker has bowled at an economy rate of 5.83, showing that opposition batters have found it tough to get him away. The Kiwis need to play him with caution.

T20 World Cup 2021 - Semi-Final 1, England vs New Zealand, Predicted Playing XIs & Stats Preview
Sports video | 602 views
It’s time to move towards the longest format of the game as India gear up to meet New Zealand in a two-match Test series, starting from Thursday (November 25). The opening clash takes place at the Green Park in Kanpur and both sides would be raring to make a mark. Having clinched the preceding T20I series 3-0, the home team might be high on confidence.
However, Test cricket is a different-ball game and the result of the T20I leg would hardly matter. Also, India have some scores to settle against the Kiwis. The last meeting between these two sides in the longest format was a historic once. The occasion was the high-voltage final clash of the inaugural World Test Championship and the venue was Southampton.
While some exciting battle was witnessed over the 22 yards, the Kane Williamson-led side eventually walked away with an eight-wicket triumph. That defeat would certainly have been heart-breaking for India and hence, they would fight for a different result this time around. With India not losing a Test series at home since 2012, the home team would back themselves to thrive in their fortress.
However, not many odds are in their favour. Many prominent players including Rohit Sharma, Rishabh Pant, Mohammed Shami and Jasprit Bumrah have been rested for this series. Regular skipper Virat Kohli will also give the first Test a miss before coming back for the second fixture. As if this side wasn’t depleted much, KL Rahul has also been ruled out of the series with a muscle strain. Hence, it would be interesting to see what combination Ajinkya Rahane will go with.
On the other hand, the Kiwis have most of their prominent players in the squad except for Trent Boult and Colin de Grandhomme. As India is set to field a second-stringed team, the Kiwis have all the reason to back themselves to breach the fortress.

The final day of the 1st Test match between India and New Zealand proved why Test cricket is the ultimate format of the game. At the end of the 1st session on Day 5, New Zealand were cruising with their scorecard reading 79/1 and were looking solid.
But then, in the second session, the Kiwis lost 3 quick wickets and were reduced to 125/4. And, a flurry of wickets in the third session completely flipped the game in India’s favour. New Zealand were reduced to 155/9, and an Indian victory seemed inevitable at that point.
The final batting pair of Rachin Ravindra and Ajaz Patel had to play out more than 8 overs, and with the Indian spinners baying for their blood, it seemed a near-impossible task. But then, both Ravindra and Patel hung on defiantly, and New Zealand eked out a fighting draw. And, going into the second Test, the scoreline reads 0-0.
Going into the 2nd Test, two pillars of the Indian batting lineup, Cheteshwar Pujara, and Ajinkya Rahane have their backs against the wall. The two veterans have been woefully short of runs, and both have not scored a single century in the whole of 2021.
And the splendid arrival of Shreyas Iyer (where the batter scored a century on debut) has made the selection process tougher. And, to add to all this, skipper Virat Kohli will be back for the 2nd Test, and the question of who will make way for Kohli is one that has hogged the limelight in recent times.
For New Zealand, even though the openers did a good job with the bat in the 1st Test, the Kiwi middle-order still does not bear a ‘confident look’. Veteran Ross Taylor fell cheaply in both innings of the 1st Test, Henry Nicholls looked clueless against spin, and even the legendary Kane Williamson could not kick on and get a big score in both innings.
So, the 1st Test had a lot of drama, the momentum swung both ways, and in the end the match resulted in a stalemate. What does the 2nd Test between these two top sides have in st

India and New Zealand are set to face each other in the first T20I of the three-match series on Wednesday, November 17 at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur. The series is Rohit Sharma’s first assignment as the full-time skipper of India’s T20I team and he’d like to get off to a winning start.
The Men in Blue won three matches in a row in the T20 World Cup, although they couldn’t qualify for the playoffs. The Black Caps, on the other hand, became the runners-up of the mega event, but they won’t be having the services of Kane Williamson. Tim Southee will lead the Kiwis in his absence.
Rohit Sharma has looked in pretty decent touch with the bat in hand of late. Although he failed in the first two games in the World Cup, he found his mojo back in India’s last three Super 12 matches. The veteran scored 174 runs from five games at an average of 34.80. If the Indian skipper gets going, the Black Caps would be in for a lot of trouble.
Trent Boult was arguably the standout bowler for New Zealand in the T20 World Cup. The speedster was on his mark throughout the tournament as he picked up 13 wickets from seven matches. In the match against India, he picked up three wickets for just 20 runs. Boult will now be looking to make early inroads into the Indian batting in the T20I series.

India vs New Zealand 1st T20I Match - Predicted Playing XIs & Stats Preview
Sports video | 302 views
The India tour of England is set to get underway, and the proceedings will start with the rescheduled fifth and the final Test match, which was suppose to take place last year. The all-important clash will kick off on July 1, Friday, at the Edgbaston in Birmingham. India put up a strong performance in the inconclusive series and took a 2-1 lead before the series came to a halt. Hence, the visitors just need to avoid a defeat to clinch the trophy while the Three Lions need a win to level the series 2-2 and share the title.
Both the camps come into the final Test with some major changes in the squad and coaching team. Last time out, the Indian team was led by captain Virat Kohli with Ravi Shastri as the head coach, and this time, Rohit Sharma is the designated captain of the team while Rahul Dravid is the head coach. Rohit’s availability for the game, however, is subject to his Covid-19 test results.
England, on the other hand, were captained by Joe Root and coached by Chris Silverwood, last. This time, they have a new look with the recent appointments of captain Ben Stokes and head coach Brendon McCullum. England, although are 2-1 down, come into this match as favourites on the back of a 3-0 victory over the Kiwis.
Pitch and conditions
Edgbaston usually offers a good surface for batting, while it is not completely unfavourable to the bowlers. The wicket is not generally flat like at Trent Bridge or with a bit of grass like at Lord’s. It offers some seam, bounce and turn with some application, and always keeps the bowlers in the game. The team winning the toss is expected to bat first and put runs on the board.

So after extending their dominance at home in the recent Test series against New Zealand, Virat Kohli will be leading his troops in South Africa, which remains the only country where India has never ever won a Test series in history. India minus injured Rohit Sharma will be looking to finally break this jinx in the rainbow nation.
The Test side has the likes of in-form Mayank Agarwal, returning KL Rahul, captain Virat himself, and Shreyas Iyer, who is fresh from his debut Test ton, to do the bulk of the scoring in tough South African conditions. Many eyes will also be on Cheteshwar Pujara again, who is not having the best of the times in his career. It will be interesting to see whether the team includes the experienced Ajinkya Rahane who sat out the second Test in Mumbai against the Kiwis after the return of skipper Kohli.
On the other hand, the hosts led by Dean Elgar would love to continue to perform against India at home by hoping runs from Temba Bavuma, Aiden Markram, and Quinton de Kock against a formidable-looking Indian pace attack. Wicket-taking duties will once again be on the speedsters Kagiso Rabada and Duanne Olivier along with Lungi Ngidi. The first of the three-Test takes place on Boxing Day December 26 at the SuperSport Park, Centurion.
