Former American Idol winner, Fantasia Barrino stirred controversy and sent rumors flying when she posted what many interpreted as an anti-gay marriage slur. Was Barrino making a negative slur toward gay marriage? Or was she simply misinterpreted? Take the jump to find out.


According to E! News, Barrino said, 'I Rise ABOVE IT ALL!!! THE WORLD IS GONE MAD. KIDS, THE GOVERNMENT THE church House... Everybody Trying!!!!!!!' she posted on Instagram. 'It's a lot that going on that the Bible speaks about we should Not be doing. Weed legal in some places, Gay Marriage Legal BUT YET IM JUDGED!!! I'm not doing Nothing for you... My Life!!!!'

While we can't be certain what Barrino is referring to when she said 'yet I'm judged,' we do recall accusations claiming she was to blame for the breakup of her baby's daddy, Antwaun Cook's marriage, which led to her attempted suicide in August 2010..
