The condition is that the biometric machines installed in the ration depots have become white elephants due to the server being down for several days. At the same time, the depot holder is also facing a lot of trouble due to this. However some depot holders are providing ration to the people under manual system at their own risk.

ഒക്‌ടോബര്‍ മുതല്‍ സര്‍ക്കാര്‍ ജീവനക്കാര്‍ക്ക് ബയോമെട്രിക്ക് അറ്റന്‍ഡന്‍സ് സംവിധാനം നിലവില്‍ വരുമെന്ന് മുഖ്യമന്ത്രി പിണറായി വിജയന്‍ അറിയിച്ചു.അഴിമതിക്കെതിരെ സ്റ്റാഫ് അസോസിയേഷനുകള്‍ ശക്തമായ നിലപാടുകള്‍ സ്വീകരിക്കണമെന്നും എല്‍.ഡി.എഫ് സര്‍ക്കാരിന്റെ രണ്ടാം വാര്‍ഷികത്തോടനുബന്ധിച്ച്‌ നടന്ന സ്റ്റാഫ് അസോസിയേഷന്‍ സംഘടനകളുടെ യോഗത്തില്‍ മുഖ്യമന്ത്രി വ്യക്തമാക്കി.
സര്‍ക്കാര്‍ സേവനങ്ങള്‍ ശക്തിപ്പെടുത്തുന്നതിനാണ് സര്‍ക്കാര്‍ മുന്‍തൂക്കം നല്‍കുന്നത്. ജീവനക്കാര്‍ക്കിടയില്‍ അവബോധം ഉണര്‍ത്തേണ്ടത് ആവശ്യമായി വന്നിരിക്കുകയാണെന്നും പുതുതായി സര്‍ക്കാര്‍ സര്‍വീസില്‍ പ്രവേശിക്കുന്നവര്‍ക്ക് പരിശീലനം നല്‍കുമെന്നും അദ്ദേഹം പറഞ്ഞു. നിലവിലെ നിയമനുസരിച്ച്‌ മാത്രമെ ജീവനക്കാരുടെ സ്ഥലം മാറ്റത്തിനായുള്ള നടപടികള്‍ നടക്കുകയുള്ളുവെന്നും കോണ്‍ട്രിബ്യൂട്ടറി പെന്‍ഷന്‍ സ്‌കീമുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട് പ്രത്യേക രീതികള്‍ സര്‍ക്കാര്‍ ആവിഷ്‌കരിക്കുന്നുണ്ടെന്നും മുഖ്യമന്ത്രി വ്യക്തമാക്കി.
