Una( Himachal) The fingerprint based ration distribution system implemented under the Public Distribution System is becoming a headache for the people as well as the depot holders. The condition is that the biometric machines installed in the ration depots have become white elephants due to the server being down for several days. At the same time, the depot holder is also facing a lot of trouble due to this. However some depot holders are providing ration to the people under manual system at their own risk.
