An apparent love triangle involving two senior officials of Chhattisgarh has turned into an ugly spat embarrassing the state bureaucracy.

Anup Bhalla, a 1980-batch Indian Forest Services officer, has accused the state Chief Secretary Vivek Dhand of scuttling his career at the instance of his alleged girlfriend.

According to Bhalla, the woman under question stayed with him for many years, but now both have separated.

Bhalla had made similar allegations against Dhand over a year ago when Arvind Boaz was appointed as the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (PCCF). The belligerent bureaucrat had lamented the appointment by claiming that Dhand was using his wife as a 'pawn' to ruin his career. He has repeated the accusation by stating that Dhand has not ceased to interfere in his private life, resulting in the separation of his family and ruining his career.
