Puri Jagannath is an Indian film director, screenwriter and producer, who works exceptionally within the Telugu cinema. He is a 3-time Nandi Award recipient. In 2006 he directed Pokiri, premiered on the 7th IIFA film competition held in Dubai. He began his career as an assistant director to Ram Gopal Varma for several Telugu films. His Telugu directorial debut, Badri was once a blockbuster, starring Pawan Kalyan within the lead position, along with Renu Desai, Prakash Raj, and Amisha Patel in supporting roles. He is an efficient buddy to actor Ravi Teja who starred in his blockbuster movies like Itlu Sravani Subramanyam, idiot.He has additionally labored in Kannada enterprise and introduced Puneeth Rajkumar. In 2011 he worked with Amitabh bachchan.
