ब्रिटेन में जारी प्रधानमंत्री रेस अब चीन और उसकी विस्तारवादी नीति पर आ गई है। तो इस बीच ब्रिटेन में प्रधानमंत्री बनने की रेस में शामिल भारतीय मूल के ऋषि सुनक ने रविवार को वादा किया अगर वह ब्रिटेन के अगले प्रधानमंत्री बनते हैं तो चीन के प्रति सख्त रवैया अपनाएंगे। उन्होंने चीन को क्षेत्रीय और वैश्विक सुरक्षा के लिए 'सबसे बड़ा खतरा' करार दिया। आपको बता दें कि पूर्व वित्त मंत्री का बयान ऐसे समय पर आया है कि जब कंजर्वेटिव पार्टी का नेतृत्व करने की दौड़ के अंतिम चरण में उनकी प्रतिद्वंद्वी लिज ट्रस ने उन पर चीन और रूस के प्रति कमज़ोर होने का आरोप लगाया था। तो लिज ट्रस के उस आरोप पर अब ऋषि सुनक ने मुंहतोड़ जवाब दिया है। उन्होंने ना सिर्फ चीन को दुनिया के लिए सबसे बड़ा खतरा बता दिया, बल्कि पीएम बनने पर क्या-क्या एक्शन लिया जाएगा, इसकी जानकारी भी दी है।
