*Minerva Academy set to compete in 2022 Mina Cup in Dubai against world's best academies from April 8*

Minerva Academy's World Cup 2034 batch is all set to compete in the 2022 Mina Cup, which commences on April 8. 

The Mina Cup is one of the world's leading youth competitions, with top-class youth teams from each continent competing in the tournament. The tournament will be played across four age categories - U12, U14, U16, and U18. 

Minerva Academy will compete in the U12 category,  where a total of eight teams will compete. Minerva Academy are joined by Go-Pro Sports Club, Barca Academy, and La Liga HPC in group B. 

Group A consists of Dubai City FC, Manchester City Football Club Academy, Solech Academy and Daryc Academy. 

Minerva Academy will face Go-Pro Sports Club from Dubai in their first game (April 9), Barcelona Football Club Academy in the second (April 9 ), and La Liga Football Academy in their third game (April 9). 

This is indeed a watershed moment for Indian football as it is the first time an Indian team will compete in an international u12 tournament abroad. 

The World Cup 2034 batch at Minerva was built with the goal of getting India to the FIFA World Cup in 2034. For that purpose, Minerva Academy has and continues to conduct extensive trials with their world-class scouting systems all across India to unearth hidden talent from across the country. 

These kids, along with being trained to become professional footballers, will also be provided with world-class education and scholarships at Minerva. 

Participating in the 2022 Mina Cup is indeed the first massive step in achieving the 15-year project's objective of seeing the Indian flag at a World Cup.

The 2022 Mina Cup will also feature age categories of u14, u16, and u18, where the likes of Wolverhampton Wanderers, Dubai City FC and CF Football Academy will be competing.
