अक्सर कला प्रदर्शनी देश के पॉश इलाकों में ही नजर आती थी लेकिन अब यह आम लोगों के बीच भी पहुंच रही है। ऐसे ही एक क्षेत्र शास्त्री नगर में विश्व कला दिवस पर एक आर्ट गैलरी का उद्घाटन देश के जाने माने चित्रकार रूपचन्द ने किया।
दिल्ली के शास्त्री नगर में चित्रकला प्रदर्शनी 'आरंभ' का उद्घाटन हुआ।
उद्घटान के इस मौके पर आर्टिस्ट रूप चंद ने चित्रकला प्रदर्शनी के निदेशक शरू कुणाल बधाई दी कि उन्होंने आर्ट को ऐसे स्थान पर बढावा दिया है जहाँ जरूरत है।
राष्ट्रपति पदक पुरुस्कार से सम्मानित आर्टिस रूपचंद का कला एवं कला शिक्षा जगत में बड़ा योदान है। इनके शिष्य देशभर में ही नहीं बल्कि अब अमेरिका जैसे देश में जाकर भी कला इंस्टिट्यूट खोलकर कला की शिक्षा दे रहे है।
यह प्रदर्शनी 15 अप्रैल से 10 मई 2024 तक चलेगी। कला में रुचि रखने वाले लोग प्रतिदिन सुबह 11 बजे से शाम 7 बजे तक इसे देख सकते है।
Art exhibitions used to be seen mainly in posh areas of the country, but now they are reaching among the common people as well. In a similar vein, on World Art Day, renowned artist Roopchand inaugurated an art gallery in the prestigious locality of Shastri Nagar. The inauguration of the art exhibition 'Aarambh' took place in Shastri Nagar, Delhi. On this occasion, artist Roop Chand congratulated the director of the art exhibition, Sharoo Kunal, for promoting art in such places where it's needed. Artist Roopchand, honored with the Presidential Award, has made a significant contribution to the world of art and art education. His disciples are not only in the country but are now also opening art institutes in countries like America to provide art education. This exhibition will run from April 15 to May 10, 2024. People interested in art can visit it daily from 11 am to 7 pm.

Gong Xi Fa Ca! That’s the traditional Chinese New Year greeting that means “wishing you prosperity” in Mandarin. The first day of the Chinese New Year – February 10, 2013 – is the most important of Chinese holidays, celebrated by over 1.3 billion people in China and by millions of ethnic Chinese around the world. It’s a celebration that lasts for 15 days, culminating with the Lantern Festival. Each year is associated with one of 12 animals in the Chinese zodiac. For 2013, it’s the Year of the Snake.
There are several variations on the mythology behind Chinese New Year celebrations. Most are based on a ugly bloodthirsty monster named Nian that would emerge on the last night of each year to destroy villages and eat people. A wise elder advised villagers to scare the monster away with loud noises. That night, they set fire to bamboo, lit fireworks, and banged their drums. The monster, afraid of the loud noises and lights, ran away to hide in its cave. In another version of the myth, an old man persuaded Nian to turn its wrath on other monsters, not the villagers. Before he was seen riding away on Nian, the old man, actually a god, advised the people to hang red paper decorations in their homes and set off firecrackers on the last night of the year to keep Nian away. On the first day of the new year, the villagers celebrated, greeting each other with the words 'Guo Nian' which means 'survive the Nian', a tradition that has continued to this day to mean
