Global commerce has always been a topic of much discussion in newsrooms and boardrooms, but the past two years have pushed the subject to the top of the agenda, as disruptions have exposed the vulnerabilities of today’s supply chains. On the other hand, these disruptions have also given a once-in-a-generation opportunity to future-proof the supply chains, by addressing the challenges that have made them a widespread topic of conversation and increasingly demanding customer expectations. At the same time, supply chains need to play in the transition to an environmentally sustainable and socially inclusive economy. New ideas integrating innovative technologies in packaging, transportation, distribution, and documentation will result in overall efficiency from place of origin to last-mile connectivity. Instant delivery, remote access through drones and express supply chain through air, would make supply chains future ready.
This session at LEADS 2022, aims to reflect upon how supply chains can be more reliable, adaptable, sustainable, less complex and hence nimble. How digitization is radically transforming supply chains with a huge impact on product manufacturing and delivery. This session will be experiential in nature as these global leaders are expected to share their own success stories and learnings (“How we did it”).
