Home Minister Amit Shah, while replying to questions on J&K Bill in the Rajya Sabha, slammed the Congress party for 93 times that Article 356 was invoked by the party to dismiss governments, including for the first time, when a democratically elected Left front government in Kerala was scrapped by Jawaharlal Nehru. Shah said that there's a difference between the way Congress has misused the constitutional provision and the way NDA has invoked it in acute circumstantial situations.
