Villagers of Ropa village of Hamirpur have alleged that people have built houses on the way to the crematorium in their village. Due to which the road has been closed and they have to face difficulties. The villagers, under the leadership of Panchayat Pradhan Ashwini Thakur and BDC Sunita Kumari, handed over a demand letter to DC Dev Shweta Banik and SP Aakriti Sharma till they met. People say that DC Dev Shweta Banik has assured action on their demand. The villagers say that due to the absence of this road, they have to travel a long way when someone dies in Ropa village. The road has been closed for the last 3 years. Apart from this, if someone falls ill during the night journey, then he has to face even more difficulties to reach the big hospital.
