മുനമ്പം ഹാര്ബര് വഴി നാൽപതുപേരെ വിദേശത്തേയ്ക്ക് അനധികൃതമായി കടത്തിൻ ഉപയോഗിച്ച മത്സ്യ ബന്ധന ബോട്ട് തിരിച്ചറിഞ്ഞു. ആന്ധ്ര, കോവളം സ്വദേശികളുടെ ഉടമസ്ഥതയിലുള്ള ദേവമാതാ എന്ന ബോട്ടിലാണ് ആളുകളെ ഓസ്ട്രേലിയയിലേക്ക് കടത്തിയതെന്ന് ആലുവ റൂറൽ എസ്പി വ്യക്തമാക്കി.കഴിഞ്ഞ ദിവസം ഹാര്ബറിനു സമീപത്തെ ആളൊഴിഞ്ഞ സ്ഥലത്ത് ഏതാനും ബാഗുകള് ഉപേക്ഷിച്ച നിലയിൽ നാട്ടുകാര് കണ്ടെത്തിയിരുന്നു. ബാഗുകളിൽ നിന്ന് വസ്ത്രങ്ങളും ഉണക്കിയ പഴങ്ങളും ഫോട്ടോകളും വിമാനടിക്കറ്റുകളും പോലീസ് കണ്ടെടുത്തു. ഇതേത്തുടര്ന്ന് നടത്തിയ അന്വേഷണത്തിലാണ് സംഭവം മനുഷ്യക്കടത്താണന്ന തരത്തിലുള്ള സൂചനകള് ലഭിച്ചത്. സ്ത്രീകളും കുട്ടികളുമടങ്ങുന്ന 40 പേരുടെ സംഘം ബോട്ട് വഴി ഓസ്ട്രേലിയയിലേയ്ക്ക് കടന്നത്.ബോട്ടിലെ ഭാരം കുറയ്ക്കാനായി ഇവര് ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചു പോയ ബാഗുകളിൽ നിന്നാണ് സംഭവത്തെപ്പറ്റിയുള്ള വിവരങ്ങള് ലഭിച്ചത്. ഇവര് പത്തുപേരടങ്ങുന്ന ചെറുസംഘങ്ങളായി സമീപത്തെ റിസോര്ട്ടുകളിൽ താമസിച്ചിരുന്നതായി പോലീസ് കണ്ടെത്തിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. സംഘത്തിലെ ചിലര് വിമാനമാര്ഗം ഡൽഹിയിൽ നിന്ന് എത്തിയതായും പോലീസ് കണ്ടെത്തി. കഴിഞ്ഞ ദിവസം ഒരു തമിഴ്നാട് സ്വദേശിയുടെ ബോട്ട് പതിവിലും കൂടുതൽ ഇന്ധനം നിറച്ചതായും കണ്ടെത്തിയിട്ടുണ്ട്.ഓസ്ട്രേലിയയിലേയ്ക്ക് കടന്നത് ശ്രീലങ്കയിൽ നിന്നും തമിഴ്നാട്ടിൽ നിന്നുമുള്ളവരാണെന്നാണ് പ്രാഥമിക നിഗമനം. സംഭവത്തിനു പിന്നിൽ രാജ്യാന്തര സംഘമുണ്ടെന്നാണ് പോലീസിന്റെ വിലയിരുത്തൽ.ഓസ്ട്രേലിയയിലെ കുടിയേറ്റ അനുകൂല നിയമമാണ് ഇവരെ മനുഷ്യക്കടത്തിന് പ്രേരിപ്പിക്കുന്നതെന്നാണ് പോലീസ് വിശദമാക്കുന്നത്. 27 ദിവസം ബോട്ടിൽ സഞ്ചരിച്ചാൽ ഓസ്ട്രേലിയയിലെത്താം. മനുഷ്യക്കടത്ത് സംബന്ധിച്ച് ഐബി അന്വേഷണം പുരോഗമിക്കുന്നുണ്ട്.
