बुराड़ी क्षेत्र में यमुना को देखकर स्थानीय लोगो ने बताई 1978 की बाढ़ की आज की तुलना में स्थिति.
उत्तर प्रदेश के सिंचाई मंत्री धर्मपाल सिंह ने प्रेस कांफ्रेंस कर विभाग के काम-काज की जानकारी दी और साथ बजट में योजनाओं के लिए धन का विस्तृत ब्यौरा भी दिया. सिंचाई मंत्री धर्मपाल सिंह ने कहा कि यूपी सरकार के बजट में यूपी के विकास के लिए बहुत कुछ है और इस बजट के साथ यूपी में विकास कार्य को आगे बढ़ाया जायेगा.धर्मपाल सिंह ने बताया कि सिंचाई की 3 अहम परियोजनाओं को 2054 करोड़ रुपये के साथ पूरा किया जाना है. 1978 से लंबित सरयू नहर परियोजना को 2019 तक पूरा किया जाना है. बंद हो चुकी मध्य गंगा परियोजना को 2019 तक पूरा किया जाना है. सरयू नहर परियोजना में भूमि अधिग्रहण के लिए किसानों को 4 गुना मुआवजा दिया गया है. 6 जिलों में 6 नदियां चिन्हित की गईं हैं जिन पर 10 मार्च से काम किया जाएगा. नदियों को उनके स्वरूप में लाने का काम भी विभाग करेगा.गोमती, वरुणा, सई, अरैल, सोथ के साथ तमसा नदी को उनके उद्गम से पुनर्जीवित किया जाएगा. सिंचाई मंत्री ने कहा कि सरयू नाहर परियोजना 1978 से लम्बित है जिसे अगले साल तक पूरा करने का लक्ष्य है. गंगा और गोमती नदी में भविष्य में रिवर एयरपोर्ट बनाया जाएगा. अब मुझे बहुत बदनाम विभाग मिला था लेकिन मुख्यमंत्री योगी आदित्यनाथ के साथ काम करते-करते काफी कुछ बदल चुका है.
