Simon Cowell is reportedly expecting a baby with Lauren Silverman, a New York City socialite and the wife of one of Cowell's close friends, Us Weekly exclusively reports.

Silverman, who is allegedly 10 weeks along, is still technically married to Ace Silverman, a real estate mogul and friend of the 'American Idol' judge. She supposedly plans to leave her estranged husband to be with Cowell.

'Lauren and Andrew have been unhappy in their marriage for some time, and their divorce has been in the works for a while,' a source told Us Weekly. 'As their marriage deteriorated, she and Simon became close.'

Cowell's reps could not be immediately reached for comment by The Huffington Post. However, a rep for the mogul allegedly told the Daily Mail it's a 'very sensitive issue' and directed all questions to his lawyer.

Last summer, Cowell and Silverman were spotted vacationing together in St. Barts. Most recently, the 53-year-old was romantically linked with Carmen Electra, but the two broke things off in February.

AOL Music caught up with Cowell last year and asked him about his plans for fatherhood. Prior to that, the 'X Factor' judge had said he didn't want to be a dad.
