Apple unveiled new versions of its ubiquitous smartphone, one of which includes a fingerprint sensor for authenticating ownership.

The special sensor feature known as Touch ID had been rumored prior to Tuesday's announcement.
'You can simply touch your home button to unlock your phone,' said Phil Schiller, Apple's senior vice president for marketing.
