ये है मालवीय नगर का पंडित मदन मोहन मालवीय हॉस्पिटल में भर्ती वे बच्चे जिन्होंने मिड डे मिल खाया था. जब बच्चे पूरी और आलू की सब्जी खा रहे थे उसी दौरान अचानक उनकी तबियत बिगड़ने लगी और उन्हें उलटी और पेट में दर्द की शिकायत शुरू हो गयी. स्कूल में अफरातफरी का माहौल गो गया और तुरंत एम्बुलेंस को बुलाकर बच्चे को हॉस्पिटल में लाया गया. पता चला की जिस सब्जी को बच्चे खा रहे थे उसमे मरा हुआ चूहा मिला है. सभी बच्चे साउथ ईस्ट दिल्ली के देवली इलाके में दिल्ली सरकार के स्रवोदय विद्यालय में पढ़ते हैं|
हॉस्पिटल के डॉक्टर का कहना है की कुल नौ बच्चे हॉस्पिटल में लाये गए, अब उनकी हालत स्थिर है. उन्हें 24 घण्टे के लिए ऑब्जर्वेशन में रखा गया है. उसके बाद सभी को हॉस्पिटल से छुट्टी दे दी जाएगी।
वहीं मामले की सूचना मिलते ही मौके पर दिल्ली सरकार के उप मुख्यमंत्री मनीष सिसोदिया और बीजेपी सांसद रमेश विधूड़ी हॉस्पिटल पहुँच गए. दोनों बीमार बच्चों से मिले। उपमुख्यमंत्री ने मामले की जाँच की और दोषी के खिलाफ करवाई करने की बात कही है|
हालांकि इस बाबत पुलिस ने मामला दर्ज कर लिया है और अधिकारियों और डॉक्टरों की जांच के आधार पर आगे की कारवाई हो पाएगी |.
