Sense of achievement, discipline and spirit to face challenge can best be developed through sports among the youth, Syed said adding that co-curricular activities are inseparable from academics.

In a bid to improve educational scenario in Ladakh region, the Minister for Education, Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari today announced double remuneration for the candidates who are engaged under academic arrangements for the geographically tough region.
Usually most of the candidates hesitate to go to Kargil because of certain reasons. But now onwards double remunerations shall be paid to those teachers who shall opt and are engaged under academic arrangements for Ladakh region,” Bukhari said adding that local candidates shall be given preference for engagement for Ladakh colleges.
