Mocking at Congress for its claim of moral victory in Gujarat Assembly polls, Union Minister of State in PMO, Dr Jitendra Singh has said that every electoral defeat was ‘moral victory’ for the Congress party as it did not require counting of ballots.
“While campaigning in Gujarat, they (Congress leader) said they were fighting a political battle and now when they lost, they said it was a moral victory. We face difficult and painful crisis on the one hand we have to ensure that the government finances remain healthy on the other hand and expenditure on our poverty alleviation programmes, rural development, education, health have to be not only protected but they have to be sustained†said Sonia Gandhi further.
