The Minister for Industries and Commerce, Chander Parkash Ganga toured border villages Mahal Sahan, Dagh Channi, and Jerdha Nandpur of Ramgarh Tehsil and assessed the problems faced by people due to cross border firing.
The Minister was informed that 150 animals have died in shelling and announced that immediate relief is being provided from Red Cross and other funds to the victims. He informed that Rs 5 lakhs shall be given in case of loss of human life while Rs 30000 shall be given in case of loss of animals. He added that a committee shall decide relief cases as per relevant cases after following due procedure.
