The 196th Coronation Day of Maharaja Gulab Singh, the founder of Jammu and Kashmir was celebrated at Jeo-Pota Akhnoor as a public function attended by large number of people from various places of the state.

The function started with floral tribute at the Raj Tilak platform where the foundation of J&K was laid in 1822 and terminated with rewarding the prominent achievers like Sandeep Singh Jamwal who scaled Mount Everest recently.
