A near-panic situation prevailed among the patients and their kin, particularly those lying unattended in scorching heat in the wake of OPD works being boycotted by the workers of District Hospital Udhampur. The real victims of the ongoing protest of the NRHM workers were the patients standing in queues for hours in such hot weather for OPD slips. These included patients from old age persons, to women and children from far flung and remote villages of district Udhampur.
