Tim Satuan Reskrim Polresta Jayapura, Papua masih menyelidiki kecelakaan tunggal tenggelamnya satu unit mobil Avanza di areal Pelabuhan Laut Jayapura. Mobil yang dikemudikan anggota Polri itu menewaskan keluarganya.
Kasubag Humas Polresta Jayapura iptu Jahya Rumba mengatakan kejadian bermula saat pengemudi yakni Indra Gunawan Wibisono dan keluarganya memarkirkan mobil di area Pelabuhan Kota Jayapura. Saat aktivitas bongkar muat kapal berlangsung di pelabuhan, Indra ingin memindahkan mobilnya ke tempat yang lebih aman. Namun tidak ada akses untuk Indra memutar mobilnya dengan baik hingga tercebur ke dalam laut bersama istri dan anak-anaknya.
Saat dievakuasi Indra bersama keluarga ditemukan sudah tidak bernyawa.
Kecelakaan tunggal tersebut terjadi di area Pelabuhan Laut Kota Jayapura pada Sabtu (24/11/2018), pukul 23.00 WIT. Mobil Avanza dengan nomor polisi DS 1550 AZ itu dikemudikan oleh Indra Gunawan Wibisono, seorang anggota Polri bersama istri dan anak-anaknya.
