In addition to the 6 plants given to each house, one mango plant was ordered to be handed over to the house owner by the authorities in front of each house. Authorities ordered a case to be registered against those who removed the planted plants and ate the goats. He warned that action would be taken against the officials along with the snakes if the plants were not planted at the expected level till the next return. Collector Kotra, who had planted saplings on the national highway in some villages, expressed his displeasure by refusing to plant saplings in Veladanda village. He said that the plants should be planted well as well as the Sarpanches who have done well in government development works like sanitation in the village would be honored on Independence Day and action should be taken if neglected.
