Allu Arjun To Play Legendary Cricketer’s Role In Kabir Khan’s ’83’ Rectv India
The 1983 Cricket World Cup in England still remains to be one of the most memorable moments in the history of Indian cricket. The manner in which Kapil Dev’s India defied the odds and beat the Windies in the final at the iconic Lord’s Cricket Ground captured the imaginations of the supporters and changed the face of Indian cricket. One of the members of the squad was Kris Srikkanth.
A movie on India’s glorious run is expected to be released soon. The movie is named ’83’, directed by Kabir Khan, a renowned director in the country. The movie will feature Ranveer Singh, a popular actor in the Indian film industry. In the meantime, it has been learned that Allu Arjun is set to play the role of Srikkanth in the flick as per reports in International Business Times.

However, there is no official confirmation about the same. The movie will be the Telegu star’s maiden appearance in Bollywood. Last year, he was seen with the cast of Golmaal 4 when he visited Mumbai for an ad shoot. Ever since rumours of his Bollywood debut is doing the rounds.
