Rahul Gandhi addressed a public rally at Godda, Jharkhand, April 01, 2014.

Rahul Gandhi said that like 2004 and 2009, the NDA's 'gas balloon' would burst again while informing that the UPA government did remarkably well, as the BJP talked divisive politics.

Like in the past, the NDA is playing colourful music and distributing sweets in anticipation of winning the polls, but it will meet the same fate as in 2004 and 2009, he said.

Ridiculing BJP's Gujarat model of development, he said, 'Jharkhand needs its own model of development and not any other model from outside.'

The Congress leader accused the BJP of joining hands with a party like MNS of Raj Thackeray which had targeted people from Bihar and eastern Uttar Pradesh in Mumbai and Maharashtra.

'Similarly, many Sikhs told me that their land was taken away at a lower rate in Gujarat in the name of development and even then Akali Dal which claims to be their champion chose to remain silent,' he alleged..

Rahul Gandhi Addressing A Public Rally at Dakshinpuri, Delhi on April 06, 2014

Rahul Gandhi addressed a public rally at Dakshinpuri, Delhi on April 06, 2014.

Addressing a massive rally at the DDA ground in Dakshinpuri, Rahul Gandhi accused the Aam Aadmi Party of running away from Delhi after making false promises.
Acknowledging the Party's performance in the Assembly elections he said, 'We made mistakes that hurt the people of Delhi. We supported the opposition because we thought they had the people's mandate...But they did not fulfill their promises.' Rahul Gandhi said to a cheering crowd. 'The truth is that the people who were running the government here have run away to other states,' he said.

Rahul Gandhi said that the message to the Congress Party from voters in last year's Assembly elections was that it won't win supporters if it kept its doors closed, and added that the party was taking steps to change itself. Reminding people of the development work the Congress Party did in Delhi during its 15-year rule, Rahul Gandhi said that the UPA ran a government for the common man and gave the poor benefits that helped
them raise their standard of living.
