You had a Congress MP here after 25 years and he fought for development of Kanpur and delivered. It was because of his efforts you have a power plant and a highway at Kanpur. Kanpur was the industrial hub of the state earlier. But today it is lagging behind.

This election is a battle of two ideologies, one is that of Congress and the other is of BJP. Congress believes that we must take all people along with us for achieving growth. BJP promote politics of anger. They make Hindus fight with Muslims but talk about development!

BJP has sent up a big balloon- fully filled up with a new gas -- Gujarat Model. It is the Congress, which had fought for farmers rights in Bhatta-Parsaul and enacted a new land acquisition law for them..
