Addressing a large rally in Sangrur, Punjab today, Congress Vice President Shri Rahul Gandhi said armed with the power of Right to Information, corruption could not be hidden behind closed doors anymore. He targeted the Opposition pointing out that they did not want to give this power to the people.
He said that in politics he took Congress President Smt. Sonia Gandhi and Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh as his teachers, and inspired the people gathered by pointing out that Dr Singh came from their midst.
He said that in Punjab, all mothers are worried about the future of their children, and this is due to the menace of drugs in the state. If the menace of drugs is not removed from Punjab, then the state will not progress.
