One of the most famous waves, 'Jaws' or 'Peahi' how the Hawaiians call it, is one of the biggest and best waves to windsurf on, located on Maui, Hawaii. Jason Polakow is one of those people, who together with his good friends Robby Naish, Levi Siver, Kai Lenny and Robby Swift, has been waiting for the right conditions for many months already.

The first day of First Grade in elementary school is one that I remember vividly. Not because I was the new kid in school that spoke no English and I was wearing a hideous light blue kiddie leisure suit that my mom forced me to put on, but because I met an amazing individual who for many years after that was my official BFF. This person had a hard to pronounce Russian name, was wearing pants, a red polo shirt, and sported a perfectly shaved head (I suspect as a result of lice), so before being troubled by the thought of how the heck I was supposed to communicate with this group, or when was my mother going to buy me a uniform, I was challenged by the mystery of “Sasha”. Was this “Sasha” person a boy or a girl? I observed keenly; heedful of any signs that would give him or her away. This person doodled in her books like everybody else, ignored the teacher like everybody else, stuck gum under the desk like everybody else, and pulled on Pilar’s pony tail just like everybody else. There was no obvious tell. Frustrated at my lack of results, I just went ahead and asked. I got slapped. A boy would’ve punched me. Sasha was a girl and we became best friends.
My first reaction to the news that Jason Collins is gay was: Who’s Jason Collins? So of course, I asked Professor Google and immediately got the whole story. A young man in India was killed by tiger on Tuesday after falling into the beast’s enclosure at the New Delhi zoo.
Maqsood Khan, 20, decided to spend Tuesday afternoon at the New Delhi zoo and found himself fascinated by ‘Vijay’ a rare white tiger.
Witnesses say the young man slipped and fell, possibly while trying to take a picture. Zoo officials, however, said Mr. Khan may have been drinking and may have jumped into the enclosure.
Eyewitness said the tiger ran up to his uninvited guest before a tense, 15 minute stare down began as the animal sized up the situation.
Some say things might not have escalated had onlookers not tried to frighten the tiger by screaming at it and pelting it with rocks.
Finally, the tiger pounced on the unfortunate young man, using its powerful jaws to drag the man away by the neck as we see in the live video footage of the event.
Zoo officials say there were tranquilizer guns located some 350 feet from the tiger enclosure, but they were unable to get to them in time.
Locals criticized the zoo for its slow response to the fatal accident.
