Hyderabad: President of the Exhibition Society and senior TRS party leader, Etela Rajender, on Thursday said all possible assistance would be extended to nearly 300 stall owners who lost their livelihood in the massive fire at Numaish on Wednesday night.

After a meeting with top office bearers of the Exhibition Society, Rajender said an announcement on the compensation to the affected stall owners would be made once the damage assessment was completed.

The damage assessment, which will be carried out by a 15-member committee comprising of Revenue Division Officers (RDOs) from Hyderabad, is expected to be completed by Friday.

Rajender made it clear the all out efforts would be taken up to reconstruct the damaged stalls for free of cost and that the Numaish would reopen in the next two days.

“We will provide all support to the affected stall owners, who have come from various parts of the Country. We are providing assistance in the form of accommodation and food for them. We assured them that all possible help will be provided by the Society,” he said.
