CHANGHUA, TAIWAN - In Taiwan, Mr. Lin, age 47, violently beat a one year old dog to death.

Mr. Lin had been drinking heavily all evening and on his way home encountered a 1-year-old mixed breed dog named Niu Niu. Niu Niu began barking at Mr. Lin as he staggered past her owner's home.

Angry and annoyed by the barking, Mr. Lin picks up a wooden chair from nearby and smashes it on Niu Niu. Unable to run and hide because of her leash Niu Niu could only continue to bark and call for help.

Mr. Lin eventually beat the dog to death with one of the chair's wooden legs. Two passerbys were unable to stop the angry, violent drunk, but would later report him to police.

Mr. Lin faces a maximum of one year in jail and a possible USD $3,000 fine, even though he claims not to remember killing the dog..
