जब भी भारत में कहीं बड़ा अपराध होता है तो हमेशा मांग की जाती है कि जांच सीबीआई से कराई जाए लेकिन जब सीबीआई पर ही आरोप लगने लगे तो कौन सी एजेंसी जांच करेगी ? यह सवाल तब ही सामने आता है जब कोई संस्था अपने आप में ही कानून बन जाये। आज करप्शन के खिलाफ गठित हुई इस एजेंसी के निदेशक अलोक वर्मा और विशेष निदेशक राकेश अस्थाना पर करप्शन के आरोप लग रहे हैं । सबसे पहले विशेष निदेशक राकेश अस्थाना के खिलाफ सीबीआई ने खुद एफआईआर दर्ज की है जिसमें अस्थाना पर कारोबारी सतीश सना से दो करोड़ रूपये की रिश्वत ले कर मीट कारोबारी मोईन क़ुरैशी को क्लीन चिट देने का आरोप लगा है। वहीँ अस्थाना ने भी कैबिनेट सचिव और केन्द्रीय सतर्कता आयोग को पत्र लिख कर सीबीआई के निदेशक आलोक वर्मा के खिलाफ कथित भ्रष्टाचार और अनियमितता के कम से कम 10 मामलों का जिक्र किया है। ऐसा पहली बार नहीं हुआ है जब सीबीआई के निदेशकों की विश्वसनीयता पर प्रश्नचिन्ह लगा हो !
