नोटबंदी के फैसले को लेकर आरबीआई के नए गवर्नर उर्जित पटेल आल इंडिया बैंक ऑफिसर्स कॉन्फ़ेडरेशन के निशाने पर आ गए हैं..कॉन्फ़ेडरेशन ने उर्जित पटेल के इस फैसले को तंग और तबाह करने वाला फैसला करार दिया है.. साथ ही उन्होंने पटेल के इस्तीफे की मांग की है...कन्फेडरेशन देश के सरकारी, सहकारी और दूसरे बैंकों के करीब ढाई लाख अधिकारियों का प्रतिनिधित्व करता है.. इसके वाइस प्रेसिडेंट डी थॉमस फ्रांको ने कहा है कि उर्जित पटेल को पिछले 12 दिनों में 11 बैंक अधिकारियों की मौत की नैतिक जवाबदेही लेते हुए इस्तीफा देना चाहिए....फ्रांको ने अंग्रेजी अखबार इंडियन एक्सप्रेस से कहा, हम सब जानते हैं कि प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी या वित्त मंत्री अरुण जेटली कोई अर्थशास्त्री नहीं हैं. अर्थव्यवस्था और आम लोगों पर असर डालने वाले सही फैसले लेने के लिए रिजर्व बैंक में अर्थशास्त्री हैं. मौजूदा गवर्नर अपने पद पर पूरी तरह फेल साबित हुए हैं, जिन्होंने बिना किसी योजना के इतना महत्वपूर्ण आर्थिक फैसला लिया, जिसकी वजह से देश की अर्थव्यवस्था और ज्यादातर लोगों की जिंदगी में तबाही मची है.।

नोटबंदी के फैसले की समीक्षा के लिए संसद की लोक लेखा समिति ने 28 जनवरी को आरबीआई के गवर्नर उर्जीत पटेल को पेश होने के लिए कहा है। इसके साथ ही लोक लेखा समिति ने वित्त मंत्रालय के शीर्ष अधिकारियों को भी तलब किया है। वहीं समिति ने पटेल से नोटबंदी का फैसला लेने में आरबीआई की भूमिका, अर्थव्यिवस्थाक पर प्रभाव और आरबीआई गवर्नर के रेगुलेशंस में पिछले दो महीनों में आए बदलाव पर जानकारी मांगी है। कांग्रेस पार्टी के वरिष्ठ नेता केवी थॉमस की अध्यक्षता वाली इस समिति ने आरबीआई गर्वनर से कुल 10 सवाल पूछे हैं। समिति ने पूछा
1. केंद्रीय मंत्री पीयूष गोयल ने सदन में कहा है कि नोटबंदी का फैसला आरबीआई और इसके बोर्ड ने लिया। सरकार ने इस सलाह पर निर्णय लिया। क्या् आप सहमत हैं?
2. आरबीआई ने कब तय किया कि नोटबंदी भारत के हित में है?
3. रातों-रात 500 और 1000 के नोट बंद करने के पीछे आरबीआई ने क्याब तर्क पाए?

नोटबंदी का फैसला किसका था.. सरकार का या फिर आऱबीआई का...इसको लेकर रविवार को संसदीय समिति ने आरबीआई गवर्नर उर्जित पटेल से 10 तीखे सवाल पूछे थे...जिसमें उनकी भूमिका को लेकर जवाब मांगा गया है.. साथ ही उन्हें 20 जनवरी से पहले समिति के सामने पेश होने को कहा गया है...इस बीच खबर है कि ये फैसला पूरी तरह सरकार का था..और सरकार ने ही आरबीआई को पत्र लिखकर कहा था कि वो अपने बोर्ड के सामने 500 और 1,000 रुपये के पुराने नोटों को अमान्य घोषित करने का प्रस्ताव पेश करे। इस मामले से वाकिफ सूत्रों ने यह जानकारी दी है...उन्होंने बताया कि नोटबंदी के ऐलान से 6 महीने पहले ही संबंधित विभागों के बड़े अधिकारियों की एक टीम ने इस पर काम शुरू कर दिया था..सूत्रों के मुताबिक सरकार के इस प्रस्ताव पर आरबीआई के सेंट्रल बोर्ड ने विचार किया और उसे 8 नवंबर को मंजूरी दी।
