Former PM Manmohan Singh also came to pay tribute to Nehru at his memorial in Shantivan. Cultural programs were organised in the memory of late Pandit Nehru who played an eminent role in India's freedom struggle. President Pranab Mukherjee was a part of the tribute paying ceremony at Shantivan. Vice President Hamid Ansari also paid floral tribute to Nehru. Meanwhile, as part of children's day celebrations, many programmes will be organised in schools remembering the children's favourite 'Chacha Nehru'.
