नोटबंदी के फैसले के बाद जहां लोग नोटों के लिए तरस रहे हैं, एटीएम और बैंकों के बाहर लंबी-लंबी लाइनें लगी हैं. वहीं दूसरी तरफ आए दिन देश के कई हिस्सों से रेड में करोड़ों की नई करंसी बरामद हो रही है..लेकिन चेन्नई में आयकर विभाग ने छापेमारी में नई करंसी की अब तक की सबसे बड़ी खेप बरामद की है.. आयकर विभाग ने चेन्नई में कई जगह छापेमारी कर नई और पुरानी करेंसी में 170 करोड़ की नकदी और 130 किलोग्राम सोना जब्त किया है। आयकर विभाग के शीर्ष अधिकारियों के मुताबिक छापेमारी में 70 किलोग्राम सोना, चलन से बाहर हो चुके नोटों वाले छियानवे करोड़ रुपये और 2,000 रुपये के नये नोटों वाले 10 करोड़ रुपये जब्त किए गए हैं. वहीं बरामद 170 किग्रा सोना एक-एक किलो सोने की छड़ों के रूप में था। बताया जा रहा है कि बड़ी संख्या में जब्त की गई रकम तिरुपति तिरुमाला देवस्थानम बोर्ड के मेंबर शेखर रेड्डी, श्रीनिवास रेड्डी और प्रेम नाम के शख्स के ठिकानों से बरामद की गई है,..ये तीनो व्यवसायी हैं और जांच में पाया गया है कि ये नोट एक्सचेंज रैकेट में शामिल थे।आपको बता दें कि पिछले दिनों आयकर विभाग ने बेंगलुरू में 5.7 करोड़ रुपये के नए नोट बरामद किए थे. इसके बाद सीबीआई और प्रवर्तन निदेशालय ने नोटबंदी के बाद बड़े पैमाने पर हवाला लेनदेन और भ्रष्टाचार की जांच शुरू की है. बताया गया कि छापे मारी के दौरान आरोपियों के घर और दुकानों से ये ये नकदी और सोना बरामद हुआ है।

नोटबंदी के बाद से ही देश के अलग अलग हिस्सों में आयकर विभाग की टीम छापेमारी कर रही है,,,और आज आईटी विभाग की टीम तमिलनाडु पहुंची जहां उन्होंने राज्य के मुख्य सचिव राम मोहन राव के घर छापेमारी की...राव का घर चेन्नई के अन्ना नगर में है...इसके अलावा आयकर विभाग तमिलनाडु में सात दूसरी जगहों पर भी छापे मार रहा है...बताया जा रहा है कि प्रारंभिक छापेमारी में अबतक आयकर विभाग को करीब 100 करोड़ रुपये और 100 किलो सोना बरामद हुआ है... इससे पहले खनन कारोबारी शेखर रेड्डी के यहां आयकर छापे पड़े थे। रेड्डी को मुख्य सचिव का करीबी माना जाता है..ऐसे में छापों को रेड्डी के यहां पड़े छापों से जोड़कर देखा जा रहा है। आपको बता दें कि दिसंबर के दूसरे हफ्ते में आयकर विभाग की टीमों ने उद्योगपति शेखर रेड्डी के ठिकानों पर छापेमारी की थी। छापे में रेड्डी और उनके सहयोगियों के यहां से 142 करोड़ रुपये से ज्यादा का कैश बरामद हुआ था। इसके अलावा 127 किलोग्राम से ज्यादा सोना भी मिला था। रेड्डी के घर छापेमारी के दौरान आयकर विभाग के हाथ कुछ ऐसे दस्तावेज भी मिले थे जिससे उसके और मुख्य सचिव राम मोहन राव के नजदीकी संबंधों के संकेत मिले। इसी के बाद आयकर विभाग ने मुख्य सचिव के यहां छापेमारी की।
