A new Cess, Krishi Kalyan will be levied over and above the service tax as well as the Swach Bharat Cess from today. Finance Minister, Arun Jaitely proposed the Krishi Kalyan cess in this years budget which is at 0.5% on taxable services. With the aim of boosting rural infrastructure in India, the new cess will be levied from all taxable services in addition to the Swach Bharat cess of 0.5% and the existing service tax of 14%.

Rashtriya Gokul Mission is a focused project under National Programme for Bovine Breeding and Dairy Development, with an outlay of Rs 500 crore during for three years from 2014-15 to 2016-17.
