Donna D'Errico says she KNOWS people are making fun of her quest to find Noah's Ark ... but she doesn't care ... claiming she's willing to RISK HER LIFE to hunt for the biblical vessel.
The former 'Baywatch' babe finally returned home from Turkey last night ... where she sustained several injuries to her face and body after a nasty fall on Mt. Ararat ... where the ark is rumored to be hidden.
'I'm just glad to be home,' Donna said ... adding, 'I found a lot of information.'
When asked if she was in fear for her life, Donna replied, 'Yeah ... I was.'
But she explained, 'I've just always wanted to climb Mt. Ararat and search for Noah's Ark ... and I know everybody thinks it's funny and it's a big joke and people don't believe in it ... but I do ... and I've wanted to do it ever since I was a kid.'
Donna said she wasn't just hunting for the Ark ... she was also hoping to find Donald Mackenzie ... a fellow Ark hunter who went missing during his trip to Ararat a few years ago.
While she didn't find Donald ... Donna claims she refuses to give up her search ... and vows to plan her return trip as soon as possible..

Former Baywatch star Donna D'Errico has been left battered and bruised following a dangerous fall while hiking in Turkey.
The onetime Playboy Playmate Of The Month was fulfilling a lifelong dream to hunt for Noah's Ark on Mount Arat when she suffered a 'major fall'.
But despite her injuries the 44-year-old has vowed to complete the final two days of her trip.
It isn't the first problem she's encountered, with D'Errico warned she was in 'serious danger' from Kurdistani terrorist group the PKK at one point.
Her hunt for Noah's Ark has seen the actress leave her two children in America to head to 'an extremely dangerous' part of the mountain.
She explained in an interview last year that she had always held a dream of discovering the ark.
'This has been a dream of mine since I was 9 or 10,' D'Errico told AOL News. 'I went to Catholic school and was fascinated by Noah's ark. I would do class projects based on the ark.'
And after years of study she had pinpointed the likely locations for the mythical boat.
'I've been studying this for years and know where the sightings have been,' she said.

D'Errico, best known for playing Donna Marco on 'Baywatch' and 'Baywatch Nights,' returned from Turkey on Wednesday (Aug. 15) empty-handed and injured. The actress released photos of her wound while still abroad, but she has not explained any details of what caused them. The actress said nothing about finding the ark.
When questioned by TMZ.com, D'Errico admitted to fearing for her life during the trip, although she did not elaborate on which dangers she faced.
Why would D'Errico want to risk life and limb just to climb a mountain and find a biblical boat? As she explains to TMZ, 'I've just always wanted to climb Mt. Ararat and search for Noah's Ark. ... And I know, everybody thinks it's a big joke and people don't believe in it.'
In the Bible, Genesis 8:4 indicates Mount Ararat as the final resting place of Noah's Ark after the Great Flood.
D'Errico should probably be thankful that minor injuries were her only problems on the expedition. According to the U.S. State Department, Mount Ararat is a 'special military zone and access permission must be obtained from the Turkish government.' As a result of this, 'U.S.
