अमोल पालेकर जीवनी - Biography of Amol Palekar :
ऐक्टर बनने से पहले अमोल पालेकर थिएटर जगत में निर्देशक के रूप में स्थाई पहचान बना चुके थे। नामचीन निर्देशक सत्यदेव दुबे के साथ उन्होंने मराठी थिएटर में कई नए प्रयोग किए। बाद में 1972 में उन्होंने अपना थिएटर ग्रुप अनिकेत शुरू किया। वे ऐक्टिंग में आने से पहले थिएटर में निर्देशक के रूप में अपनी पहचान बना चुके थे। बासु चटर्जी, ऋषिकेश मुखर्जी और बासु भट्टाचार्य उनके नाटक देखने आया करते थे। 1971 में सत्यदेव दुबे की मराठी फिल्म शांतता कोर्ट चालू आहे से अमोल ऐक्टिंग में आए। यह मराठी सिनेमा की उल्लेखनीय फिल्म कही जाती है। हिंदी फिल्मों में उन्होंने सन 1974 में बासु चटर्जी की फिल्म रजनीगंधा से कदम रखा। फिल्म सफल हुई और फिर उनके अनवरत सफर का आगाज हो गया। उन्होंने ऐक्टर के रूप में चितचोर, घरौंदा, मेरी बीवी की शादी, बातों-बातों में, गोलमाल, नरम-गरम, श्रीमान-श्रीमती जैसी कई यादगार फिल्में दीं। वे ज्यादातर फिल्मों में मध्यवर्गीय समाज के नायक का प्रतिनिधित्व करते दिखे। उनकी हास्य फिल्मों को दर्शक आज भी याद करते हैं। उन्हें खुशी है कि वे अपने करियर में फिल्म इंडस्ट्री के श्रेष्ठ निर्देशक और श्रेष्ठ तकनीशियनों के साथ काम कर सके। सन 1981 में मराठी फिल्म आक्रित से अमोल ने फिल्म निर्देशन में कदम रखा। अब तक वे कुल दस हिंदी-मराठी फिल्मों का निर्देशन कर चुके हैं। उनकी पिछली हिंदी फिल्म पहेली को ऑस्कर पुरस्कार के लिए नामांकित किया गया था जिस पर खुशी व्यक्त करते हुए कहा कि उन्होंने निर्देशक के रूप में मनमाफिक फिल्में बनाई।
