विदेश मंत्री सुषमा स्वाराज के सामने आखिरकार ई-कॉमर्स साइट अमेज़ॉन को झुकना पड़ा है। सुषमा स्वाराज की कड़ी कार्रवाई की चेतावनी के बाद कंपनी ने वेबसाइट से तिरंगे वाले डोरमैट को तो हटा लिया हैं लेकिन माफी अब भी नहीं मांगी है।
कनाडा में अमेज़ॉन पर बेचे जा रहे भारतीय राष्ट्रीय ध्वज वाले डोरमैट पर विदेश मंत्री सुषमा स्वराज ने सख्त आपत्ति जताई थी। उन्होंने ट्वीट कर कहा था कि अमेजन इस मामले में बिना शर्त माफी मांगे और राष्ट्रीय ध्वज का अपमान करने वाले सारे प्रोडक्ट को तत्काल वापस ले। इसके साथ ही विदेश मंत्री स्वराज ने एक अन्य ट्वीट में चेतावनी दी कि, 'अगर ऐसा नहीं किया गया, तो आगे हम अमेज़ॉन के किसी अधिकारी को भारतीय वीजा जारी नहीं करेंगे. हम पहले जारी किए वीजा भी रद्द कर देंगे।' जिसके बाद अमेज़ॉन के प्रवक्ता ने ई-मेल से भेजे जवाब में कहा, 'यह सामान अब साइट पर बिक्री के लिए उपलब्ध नहीं है।
