खुले में शौच को रोकने के लिए जैसलमेर के बाड़मेर जिले में एक अनूठी योजना की शुरुआत की गई है। इस योजना के तहत शौचालय का इस्तेमाल करने पर हर परिवार को हर महीने 2500 रुपये दिए जाएंगें। बाड़मेर जिले के डीएम सुधीर शर्मा ने जिले की दो पंचायत में इस योजना का आगाज़ किया है। डीएम शर्मा की मानें तो इस योजना का मकसद जनता के बीच स्वच्छ भारत मिशन को बढ़ावा देना है। इससे लोगों को बाहर शौच करने से रोका जा सकेगा और साथ ही शौचालय में ही शौच करने की आदत पर जोर दिया जाएगा। केन इंडिया, ग्रामीण विकास विभाग और जिला प्रशासन के सहयोग से बायतू और गिडा पंचायत में इस योजना की शुरुआत की गई। डीएम ने योजना की पुष्टि करते हुए कहा कि भारत में पहली बार इस तरह की योजना लॉन्च की गई है।
