पासपोर्ट की तरह अब ड्राइविंग लाइसेंस बनवाना भी आसान होने जा रहा है। अब आपको इसे बनवाने के लिए ज्यादा औपचारिकता और फार्म भरने नहीं पड़ेंगे। केंद्र सरकार ड्राइविंग लाइसेंस बनाने को आसान करने के लिए मोटर वाहन अधिनियम में बदलाव करने जा रही है। नया कानून लर्निग डीएल, नया डीएल, डीएल नवीनीकरण आदि से लोगों अलग-अलग फार्म (प्रपत्र) भरने के झंझट से मुक्ति दिलाएगा। वहीं, आवेदनकर्ता को डीएल बनवाने के लिए आधार कार्ड देना होगा। इससे देशभर में फर्जी डीएल बनाने के सिलसिले पर लगाम लगेगी। सड़क परिवहन व राजमार्ग मंत्रालय के एक वरिष्ठ अधिकारी की मानें तो मौजूदा समय में राज्यों के क्षेत्रीय परिवहन कार्यायलों में लर्निग डीएल बनाया जाता है। एक निश्चित अवधि के बाद स्थायी डीएल पाने के लिए आवेदनकर्ता को नया फार्म भरना पड़ता है।
