A deceitful woman was arrested on Wednesday for duping a family in Nagaon on the pretext of helping their 3 year old son by making him speak.
Hailing from Hojai, the woman identified as Sabina Choudhury, appeared to be a spiritual guru had looted gold and cash from the Nagaon based family in the month of August, 2019. Later, police managed to arrest the culprit on the basis of the police complaint (Case No 2290/19) lodged at Nagaon Police Station.
Police also recovered few gold ornaments from her possession..

Based on a tip off, Nagaon police on Wednesday arrested one along with a .22 pistol and 3 rounds live ammunition at Morikolong area.
The arrested person was identified as Mahendra Pachi.
As per police sources, Nagaon police launched an operation near the residence of Pachi and recovered the alleged illegal fire arm.
Sources further informed that Pachi was allegedly involved in selling fire arms in the area.
Meanwhile, police had also received information of his involvement in dealings of fire arms in the Nagaon District.

In a major development to the Nagaon Shootout incident on October 10, 2019, Nagaon Police has arrested six more accused who were allegedly involved in the incident.
Earlier, Nagaon police arrested the mastermind Iliyash Uddin after 12 hr of shootout incident. Later six more accused were arrested on Sunday.
The six suspected accused were identified as Nur Uddin, Umar Uddin, Suruj Ali, Sharafat Ali, Jagdadul Islam and Kitab Ali.
Nagaon Police also seized one 7.65 mm pistol, two rounds of live ammunition and two motorcycles from the possession of the arrested offenders.
