എന്നാൽ മോട്ടോര്‍ വാഹന വകുപ്പ് അധികൃതരില്‍ നിന്നും മുൻകൂർ അനുമതി നേടിയ ശേഷം നിയമാനുസൃതമായ മാറ്റങ്ങൾ വരുത്താവുന്നതാണ്. ബൈക്കുകളുടെ
ഹാന്‍ഡില്‍, സൈലന്‍സര്‍ തുടങ്ങിയവ മാറ്റിവയ്ക്കുന്നതുപോലെ, ശാസ്ത്രീയമല്ലാതെ വാഹനത്തില്‍ വരുത്തുന്ന മാറ്റങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് അനുമതി ലഭിക്കുകയുമില്ല. തീവ്രമായ പ്രകാശമുള്ള ലൈറ്റുകൾ, എയർഹോണുകൾ എന്നിവ വാഹനങ്ങളിൽ ഘടിപ്പിക്കുന്നതും നിയമവിരുദ്ധമാണ്.
