Goalpara (Assam): India’s first detention centre is being built in Assam’s Goalpara district. The construction work is in full swing at first detention centre in Goalpara district's West Matia area of Assam. There will be 15 four-storey buildings in the detention centre for those who do not qualify as Indian citizens.
