അന്താരാഷ്ട്ര ക്രിക്കറ്റില്‍ അര്‍ധസെഞ്ചുറി നേടുന്ന ഏറ്റവും പ്രായംകുറഞ്ഞ താരമെന്ന റോക്കോഡ് ഇനി രോഹിതിന് സ്വന്തം. 16 വയസ്സും 146 ദിവസവും മാത്രം പ്രായമുള്ള രോഹിത് യു.എ.ഇയ്‌ക്കെതിരായ മത്സരത്തിലാണ് ചരിത്രമെഴുതിയത്. 1989-ല്‍ 16 വയസും 213 ദിവസവും ഉള്ളപ്പോഴാണ് സച്ചിന്‍ ആദ്യ അന്താരാഷ്ട്ര അര്‍ധശതകം സ്വന്തമാക്കിയത്. പാകിസ്താനെതിരായ ടെസ്റ്റ് മത്സരത്തിലൂടെ അന്ന് സച്ചിന്‍ ചരിത്രം കുറിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു.അതോടൊപ്പം ഏകദിനത്തില്‍ ഫിഫ്റ്റി അടിക്കുന്ന ഏറ്റവും പ്രായം കുറഞ്ഞ പുരുഷ താരമെന്ന റെക്കോഡും നേപ്പാളുകാരന്‍ സ്വന്തമാക്കി. പാക് താരമായിരുന്ന ഷാഹിദ് അഫ്രീദിയുടെ പേരിലുള്ള റെക്കോഡാണ് രോഹിത് മറികടന്നത്. 1999-ല്‍ ശ്രീലങ്കയ്ക്കെതിരേ അഫ്രീദി 16 വയസും 217 ദിവസവും പ്രായമുള്ളപ്പോഴാണ് അര്‍ദ്ധ ശതകം നേടിയത്‌.
37 പന്തില്‍ സെഞ്ചുറിയും കുറിച്ച അഫ്രീദി അന്ന് എല്ലാവരേയും അദ്ഭുതപ്പെടുത്തിയിരുന്നു.
ഏകദിനത്തിലെ ഏറ്റവും പ്രായംകുറഞ്ഞ അര്‍ധസെഞ്ചുറി ഒരു വനിതാ താരത്തിന്റെ പേരിലാണ്. തന്റെ പതിനാലാം വയസില്‍ ഏകദിനത്തിലും ടെസ്റ്റിലും അര്‍ധസെഞ്ചുറി നേടിയ ജോമറി ലോഗ്ടണ്‍ബര്‍ഗിന്റെ പേരിലാണ് ആ റെക്കോര്‍ഡ്.58 പന്തില്‍ 55 റണ്‍സാണ് യു.എ.ഇക്കെതിരേ രോഹിത് അടിച്ചെടുത്തത്. ആദ്യ ഏകദിനം മൂന്ന് വിക്കറ്റിന് തോറ്റ നേപ്പാള്‍ രണ്ടാം ഏകദിനം 145 റണ്‍സിന് ജയിച്ച് പരമ്പരയില്‍ ഒപ്പമെത്തിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. 33 റണ്‍സ് വഴങ്ങി അഞ്ച് വിക്കറ്റ് വീഴ്ത്തിയ സോംപാല്‍ കാമിയാണ് യു.എ.ഇയെ എറിഞ്ഞിട്ടത്.
