He was born on 22 August 1989 in Mangalhat, Dhoolpet, Hyderabad to Sudha Rani and Raj Kumar.

His first song was, College bulloda, for the movie Josh at the age of 20 in 2009. He became popular in Tollywood with his songs like in Dammu, Vaastu baagundhe, Singareni Undi in Racha, Peddha Puli in Chal Mohan Ranga. He also sang Spanish part in the song, Melikalu in Cameraman Gangatho Rambabu. He sang the hugely popular Bonalu song from the movie iSmart Shankar.[citation needed]
