घुमारवीं के कठलग के गांव करयालग में पहाड़ दरकने से हुई त्रासदी की रिपोर्ट शिमला से बिलासपुर उपायुक्त के पास पहुंच गई है। जिसमें राच्य भू-वैज्ञानिक शिमला की टीम ने यहां पर हुई त्रासदी का मुख्य कारण पहाड़ी में पानी का अत्यधिक रिसाव बताया है। वहीं, वैज्ञानिकों ने यह भी रिपोर्ट में साफ किया है कि उनके पास इस भूस्खलन को रोकने के लिए कोई विशेष तकनीक या फिर विशेषज्ञ नहीं है जिसके लिए टीम ने उपायुक्त बिलासपुर राजेश्वर गोयल को जियोलोजिकल सर्व ऑफ इंडिया की टीम से इस संदर्भ में बातचीत करने के लिए कहा गया है।
