'എനിക്ക് ഇനിയും ഒരുപാട് പ്രേമിക്കണം. ജോലി ചെയ്യണം. അതിനുള്ള ആരോഗ്യമുണ്ടെങ്കിലും ഈ പ്രായം ഒരു ബാധ്യതയാണ്. എമിലേ റാറ്റല്‍ബന്‍ഡ് എന്ന 'ലൈഫ് കോച്ച്' ന്റെ ഈ ആവശ്യം അന്താരാഷ്ട്ര മാധ്യമങ്ങളില്‍ പോലും വാര്‍ത്തയായി. തന്റെ ജനനത്തീയ്യതി 1949 മാര്‍ച്ച് 11 ല്‍ നിന്ന് 1969 മാര്‍ച്ച് 11ലേക്ക് മാറ്റിതരണമെന്ന ന്യായമായ ആവശ്യം മാത്രമേ എമിലേയ്ക്കുള്ളൂ. ഒരാള്‍ക്ക് തന്റെ പേരും രാഷ്ട്രീയവും തീരുമാനിക്കാം എന്തിന് സ്വന്തം ലിംഗമാറ്റം പോലും നടത്താം. പിന്നെ എന്തുകൊണ്ട് സ്വന്തം ജനനത്തിയ്യതി മാത്രം മാറ്റാന്‍ കഴിയില്ല എന്ന എമിലെയുടെ ചോദ്യം കേള്‍ക്കുമ്പോള്‍ അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ ആവശ്യം ന്യായമാണെന്നാണ് ആര്‍ക്കും തോന്നിപ്പോകും. ആര്‍ണ്‍ഹെം നഗരത്തിലെ കോടതി ഈ കേസില്‍ നാല് ആഴ്ച്ചയ്ക്കുള്ളില്‍ വാദം കേള്‍ക്കും. ജനനത്തിയതി മാറ്റാന്‍ നിലവില്‍ നിയമങ്ങളൊന്നുമില്ലാത്തതിനാല്‍ എമിലേയുടെ ഹര്‍ജി തള്ളാനാണ് സാധ്യതയെന്നാണ് അധികൃതരുടെ പക്ഷം. തന്റെ വയസ്സ് കാരണം താന്‍ പലതരത്തിലുള്ള വിവേചനം അനുഭവിക്കുന്നതായാണ് എമിലേയുടെ വാദം. തന്റെ ജോലി സാധ്യതയെയും 'ടിന്‍ഡര്‍' ഡേറ്റിങ് ആപ്പിലെ തന്റെ അവസരങ്ങളെയും തന്റെ വയസ്സ് ബാധിക്കുന്നു. 'എനിക്ക 69 വയസ്സുള്ളപ്പോള്‍ എന്റെ ജീവിതം പരിമിതപ്പെടുന്നു. എന്നാല്‍ എനിക്ക് 49 വയസ്സാണെങ്കില്‍ എനിക്ക് പുതിയ വീട് വാങ്ങാം. പുതിയ കാറുകള്‍ വങ്ങാം. കൂടുതല്‍ ജോലിയും ചെയ്യാമെന്നാണ് എമിലേ പറയുന്നത്. ഡേറ്റിങ് ആപ്പില്‍ തനിക്ക് പ്രായം കാരണം മറുപടികളൊന്നും കിട്ടുന്നില്ലെന്നാണ് ഹര്‍ജിക്കാരന്‍ പറയുന്നു. തന്റെ ഇപ്പോഴത്തെ മുഖവും 49 എന്ന വയസ്സുമാകുമ്പോള്‍ ഞാനൊരു ഉയര്‍ന്ന സ്ഥാനത്ത് എത്തുമെന്നും ഇയാള്‍ കരുതുന്നു. തന്റെ ഡോക്ടര്‍മാര്‍ പോലും തനിക്ക് ഒരു 45കാരന്റെ ശരീരമാണ് ഇപ്പോള്‍ ഉള്ളത് എന്നാണ് പറയുന്നത്. 'യങ്ങ് ഗോഡ്' എന്നാണ് എമിലേ സ്വയം വിശേഷിപ്പിക്കുന്നത്. പ്രായം കുറച്ചു തന്നാല്‍ തന്റെ പെന്‍ഷന്‍ തിരിച്ച് നല്‍കാമെന്ന് പറയുന്ന എമിലേ നിലവില്‍ ഒരു വ്യക്തിത്വ വികസന പരിശീലകനായിട്ടാണ് ജോലി നോക്കുന്നത്.
