കേരള സാങ്കേതിക സര്‍വ്വകലാശാലയുടെ ഇയര്‍ ഔട്ട് സംവിധാനത്തിനെതിരെ വിദ്യാര്‍ത്ഥി പ്രതിഷേധം ശക്തമാകുന്നു. ക്ലാസുകള്‍ ബോയ്‌കോട്ട് ചെയ്ത് സംസ്ഥാനത്തെ വിവിധ കോളേജുകളില്‍ വിദ്യാര്‍ത്ഥി പ്രക്ഷോഭം ശക്തമാക്കുന്നത്.
എന്‍ജിനീയറിങ് കോളേജുകളില്‍ വിജയശതമാനം തീരെ കുറഞ്ഞതിനെ തുടര്‍ന്ന് ഗുണനിലവാരം ഉറപ്പാക്കാന്‍ ഏര്‍പ്പെടുത്തിയ ഇയര്‍ ഔട്ട് സംവിധാനം അശാസ്ത്രീയമെന്ന് ചൂണ്ടിക്കാട്ടിയാണ് വിദ്യാര്‍ത്ഥികള്‍ ഒന്നടങ്കം തെരുവിലിറങ്ങിയത്. എല്ലാ വിഷയവും ജയിക്കാതെ അടുത്ത സെമസ്റ്ററിലേക്ക് പ്രവേശനം ലഭിക്കാത്ത ഇയര്‍ ഔട്ട് സംവിധാനം നിലനില്‍ക്കുന്നതിനാല്‍ പഠനം തുടരാനാകാത്ത സ്ഥിതിയാണെന്ന് വിദ്യാര്‍ത്ഥികള്‍ പറയുന്നു. പരീക്ഷ ഫലം വൈകുന്നതിനാല്‍ ഒരുവര്‍ഷം നഷ്ടപ്പെടുകയാണ്.
പ്രധാന പരീക്ഷയുടെയും സപ്ലിമെന്ററി പരീക്ഷയുടെയും ഫലം കൃത്യമായി പ്രസിദ്ധീകരിക്കാന്‍ സാങ്കേതികസര്‍വകലാശാലയ്ക്ക് കഴിയുന്നില്ല എന്നതാണ് ഇതിന്റെ കാരണം.

എന്‍ജിനീയറിങ് കോളേജുകളില്‍ വിജയശതമാനം തീരെ കുറഞ്ഞതിനെ തുടര്‍ന്ന് ഗുണനിലവാരം ഉറപ്പാക്കാന്‍ ഏര്‍പ്പെടുത്തിയ ഇയര്‍ ഔട്ട് സംവിധാനം അശാസ്ത്രീയമെന്ന് ചൂണ്ടിക്കാട്ടിയാണ് വിദ്യാര്‍ത്ഥികള്‍ ഒന്നടങ്കം തെരുവിലിറങ്ങിയത്. എല്ലാ വിഷയവും ജയിക്കാതെ അടുത്ത സെമസ്റ്ററിലേക്ക് പ്രവേശനം ലഭിക്കാത്ത ഇയര്‍ ഔട്ട് സംവിധാനം നിലനില്‍ക്കുന്നതിനാല്‍ പഠനം തുടരാനാകാത്ത സ്ഥിതിയാണെന്ന് വിദ്യാര്‍ത്ഥികള്‍ പറയുന്നു. പരീക്ഷ ഫലം വൈകുന്നതിനാല്‍ ഒരുവര്‍ഷം നഷ്ടപ്പെടുകയാണ്.
