ജേണല്‍ ഓഫ് ന്യൂറോളജി, ന്യൂറോസര്‍ജറി ആന്‍ഡ് സൈക്യാട്രി എന്ന ജേണലിലാണ് പഠനം പ്രസിദ്ധീകരിച്ചത്.8 ലക്ഷത്തോളും ആളുകളില്‍ നടത്തിയ 15 വ്യത്യസ്ത പഠനങ്ങളില്‍ നിന്നാണ് ലണ്ടന്‍ യൂണിവേഴ്‌സിറ്റി കോളേജിലെ ഗവേഷകര്‍ ഈ നിഗമനത്തിലെത്തിയത്. മറവിയിലേക്ക് നയിക്കുന്ന സാഹചര്യങ്ങളെ 20 ശതമാനത്തോളം ലഘൂകരിക്കാന്‍ ദാ്‌നുത്യജീവിതത്തിനാകുമെന്ന് വിദഗ്ധര്‍ പറയുന്നു.വിവാഹം കഴിക്കുന്നതുകൊണ്ടുമാത്രം അല്‍ഷൈമേഴ്‌സ് പോലുള്ള മറവി രോഗങ്ങളില്‍ നിന്ന് രക്ഷനേടാനാകുമെന്നല്ല ഈ പഠനത്തില്‍ തെളിഞ്ഞത്.
മറിച്ച്, പൊതുവെ വിവാഹിതരായവര്‍ക്ക് സമൂഹത്തില്‍ ലഭിക്കുന്ന സ്വീകാര്യതയും അവര്‍ ആസ്വദിക്കുന്ന സന്തോഷങ്ങളും ആരോഗ്യസാഹചര്യങ്ങളും മാനസികാരോഗ്യം വര്‍ധിപ്പിക്കാനും സഹായിക്കുമെന്നാണ് പഠനം പറയുന്നത്.
