നാസര്‍ ടീം ഡോക്ടറായിരുന്നപ്പോള്‍ പീഡിപ്പിക്കപ്പെട്ട് നിശബ്ധയാക്കപ്പെട്ട നിരവധി താരങ്ങളില്‍ ഒരാളാണ് താനെന്നും ഗാബി ഇന്‍സ്റ്റാഗ്രാമില്‍ കുറിച്ചു.20 വര്‍ഷത്തോളം അമേരിക്കന്‍ വനിതാ ജിംനാസ്റ്റിക്സ് ടീമിന്റെ ഡോക്ടറായിരുന്നു നാസ്സര്‍. 2015ലാണ് ഇയാളെ പുറത്താക്കിയത്. ഇതിനു ശേഷം നിരവധി വനിതാ താരങ്ങളാണ് കോച്ച് തങ്ങളെ പീഡനത്തിന് ഇരയാക്കിയിട്ടുണ്ടെന്ന് ആരോപിച്ച് രംഗത്തുവന്നത്. രണ്ടു തവണ ഒളിംപിക്സില്‍ മല്‍സരിച്ച ഗാബിയുടെ ടീമംഗം കൂടിയായിരുന്ന അലി റെയ്സ്മനും തന്റെ ആത്മകഥയില്‍ നാസറിനെതിരേ പീഡന ആരോപണം ഉന്നയിച്ചിരുന്നു
2000ലെ ഒളിംപിക് വെങ്കല മെഡല്‍ ജേതാവ് ജാമി ഡാന്‍ഷറാണ് പരാതിയുമായി ആദ്യം പ്രതികരിച്ചത്.ആകെ 125 പേരാണ് ഡോക്ടറിനെതിരെ ലൈഗീംഗാരോപണ പരാതി നല്‍കിയിട്ടുള്ളത്.

    Gabby Douglas and Oprah Winfrey spoke about the hard road that Douglas faced on her way to Olympic gold.

    Gabby Douglas overcame several challenges to win two Olympic gold medals — none more daunting than cold shoulders and slurs from some racist fellow gymnasts.

    On her way to London and triumph as the first African-American gymnast to win individual all-around Olympic gold, Gabby, 16, nearly gave up her dream because she was tormented at a gym where she trained in Virginia Beach, Va.

    “I was just, you know, kind of getting racist jokes, kind of being isolated from the group. So it was definitely hard. I would come home at night and just cry my eyes out,” she told Oprah Winfrey in a segment on “Oprah’s Next Chapter.”
    She recalled a specific example of racism. “One of my teammates was like, ‘Could you scrape the bar?’” she remembered. “And they were like, ‘Why doesn’t Gabby do it, she’s our slave?’”
    “I was the only African-American at that gym,” Gabby went on. “I definitely felt isolated. Why am I deserving this? Is it because I’m black? — those thoughts were going through my mind.”

    Gabby Douglas told Oprah Winfrey that she had a different experience than her fellow gymnasts when she used to train in Virginia—and not in a good way.
    But the head of her former gymnasium in Virginia Beach and the people she trained with maintain that they have no idea what Douglas is talking about.
    'Gabby's remarks were hurtful and without merit,' Excalibur Gymnastics CEO Gustavo Maure said in a statement to E! News in response to the 16-year-old's claim that she felt 'bullied and isolated from the group,' possibly because she Is black.

    African-American gymnast Gabby Douglas, who won a gold medal each in London Olympic individual and team gymnastic matches for the United States, has spoken about how she was racially abused by fellow gymnasts during early training sessions in Virginia.
    In an interview with Oprah Winfrey, Douglas said that things went so wrong with her that she even thought about quiting the competition.
    'I was just, you know, kind of getting racist jokes, kind of being isolated from the group. So, it was definitely hard. I would come home at night and just cry my eyes out,' she told Oprah Winfrey.
